CEBU, Philippines—As early as four, this little boy from Dalaguete, Cebu proves he is a choir material.
John Clinth Nepomuceno was captured in a video where he was heartily singing the Cebuano version of the song “We Give Our Yes”—the official mission song of the “500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines.”
His mother, Catherine Nepomuceno, told CDN Digital that his son John Clinth, dreams of becoming a choir member someday.
“Saona rjd na siya tnan niyang ipang sulti ky butngan niyag tono dn ngpapalit pna siya nkog piano ky gnhan siya mkat on piano.
Ug manimba mi ky gusto jd na siya adto pirmi sa choir,” Nepomuceno said.
She said Clinth always attends the Sunday Mass that’s why he got familiarized with the church songs.
His grandmother is a member of the church choir in their barangay.
His favorite church song is the Cebuano version of the song popularized by Jamie Rivera.
“Sige mana siyag kuyog simba ni nanay niya. Then adto man sa choir molingkod pirmi. Then kung moadto sila sa brgy hall ug simbahan ky makadungog ata na sya sa mga taga choir then sge pd gitudloan ni mama kap ug mga choir nga dagko na,” said Nepomuceno.
Clinth is still a daycare student but is already fluent in some Bisaya songs. /rcg
