Cops accused of ’planting’ evidence

A man arrested in a raid conducted by members of the Pardo Police Station said drugs found in his  house in  barangay Bulacao were planted by the police.

The police served a search warrant issued by Judge Gilbert Moises against Moises Tacaganao at dawn yesterday.

But Tacaganao and his wife, Gestica, said the two plastic packs of shabu and other evidence  allegedly found in their room were planted.

Investigator P03 Robert Escarlan  said police have been monitoring  Tacaganao’s  activities and made a test-buy before they applied for a search warrant.

The search yielded two medium plastic packs  suspected to contain shabu, a Batangas knife, a plastic canister with coins and two plastic canisters with tin foil and lighters.
