Two men will face trial after they allegedly robbed and raped a 21-year-old saleslady in San Fernando town, south Cebu.
Kevin Cabrera and Arnel Ladica were indicted on charges of robbery with force and intimidation, and robbery with rape.
No bail was recommended.
When presented before Assistant Provincial Prosecutor Al Rey Ouano last week, Cabrera and Ladica chose not to undergo preliminary investigation which could have given them the chance to refute the allegations.
Ouano recommended the filing of charges in court against the two respondents who were arrested by police after they allegdly robbed and raped the saleslady.
The victim, accompanied by her boyfriend, was on her way home last Sept. 21 when the two respondents allegedly robbed them of their cellular phones.
The respondents were also accused of raping the woman in front of her boyfriend.
