Humiliated teener commits suicide

Apparently humiliated after he was allegedly whipped by his mother in front of his friends, an 18-year-old boy committed suicide Monday afternoon by hanging himself from the beam of their house in barangay Dalahikan, Samboan town, Cebu.

The victim was identified as Alexander Pielago Lemos.

PO2 Ressel Jabagat, homicide investigator, said the victim was earlier scolded by his mother and was allegedly hit with a dried coconut spathe, locally called daol.
