‘Robber’ nabbed

A man who is suspected to be behind a series of robberies in the North Reclamation Area was arrested at noon Tuesday.

Police collared Kenneth Montero Almendras, 39, of barangay Carreta after Joselyn Angelo dela Corta identified him as the one who robbed her at Gen. Maxilom Ave.

Dela Corta reported the incident to the Mabolo Police Station and they immediately responded resulting in Almendras’ arrest.

Senior Insp. Hartzel Bellido, chief of Mabolo police station, said Almendras is responsible for the series of robbery in their area of responsibility. He was also previously charged with robbery.

Seized from Almendras were a .38 cal. revolver and high end cellular phones.
