The Department of Trade and Industry in Central Visayas joins consumers in celebrating the Consumer Welfare Month and the National Standards Week.
This year’s celebration carrying the theme, “Sapat na Impormasyon: Susi sa Wastong Paggamit ng Enerhiya” will be filled with consumer welfare related activities such as seminars on energy efficiency, consumer rights and responsibilities, Diskwento Caravan, price monitoring and product standard monitoring.
Just recently, the 2nd Bohol Youth Consumer Summit was held at the Dao Diamond Hotel in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The activity was participated by members of the Bohol Youth Consumer Movement composed of students from Holy Name University, University of Bohol, Bohol Island State University, Bohol Institute of Technology and Philippine Maritime Institute of Bohol.
Topics during the summit included energy efficiency and sustainable consumption, financial literacy and food safety.
The Consumer Welfare Month is celebrated every October in compliance with Presidential Proclamation No. 1098.
