Charges of multiple physical injuries were filed against a man who tried to grab the service firearm of a security guard assigned at a mall’s parking lot in sitio Luray 1, barangay Poblacion in Toledo City last Sunday morning.
Alexis Baquin passed by the parking lot area of Gaisano Metro that was guarded by Eleodoro Acostan of Baisa Security Agency when he approached Acostan and tried to grab his service shotgun.
PO2 Nicanor Goc-ong of the Toledo City police said Baquin was allegedly under the influence of drugs when he tried to grab Acostan’s shotgun and setting it off injuring three persons.
Those injured were 48-year-old Gabriel Barabat Ipis, who sustained bruises on his right cheek, 23-year-old Boyet Caliguid with a slight bruise on the right elbow and 35-year-old Reynaldo Toledo. All three were brought to the Toledo City Hospital.
Goc-ong said Baquin was arrested at the Toledo City Pier located one and a half kilometers away from the mall.
He is now detained at the Toledo City police precinct.
