Vegetarians now have a reason to feast at Cebu City’s finest as Marco Polo Plaza launches its new vegetarian ala carte menu.
The hotel has noticed a steady increase of vegetarians and other diners with special dietary requirements. As a hotel that prides itself in offering excellent food, our team of culinary experts led by Executive Chef Stefano Verillo whipped up a special menu dedicated to cater to their needs.
“Over the years, I learned that the best way to cater to vegetarians or those with restrictions such as those who have celiac disease or are lactose intolerant is to have a separate menu for them. This particular menu is handled with special care and is meticulously prepared using fresh local ingredients,” said Chef Stefano Verillo.
The menu offers both hot and cold dishes such as Mediterranean vegetarian antipasto, quinoa khichadi, vegetarian nasi goreng, cauliflower and potato aloo gobi and more. To make the selection easier to those with restrictions, each dish is identified as vegetarian, egg free, dairy free, gluten free or a combination of any of the four.
The vegetarian ala carte menu is available in Café Marco, El Viento Restaurant and Pool Bar, Lobby Lounge, Blu Bar & Grill or at the comfort of your room through room service. You just simply have to request for it when you order.
