The National Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (NIACAT) and the local governments of Lapu-lapu City and Cordova in partnership with the International Justice Mission (IJM) will host a running event aptly dubbed as “Cebu Against Trafficking Race) (CAT Race) on Dec. 14.

The run will start and finish at the Lapu-lapu City Hoops Dome and will feature a 3-kilometer, 6k and 12k distances.

The running event’s goal is to strengthen NIACAT’s campaign against child trafficking in Lapu-lapu City and Cordova town where child pornography is very rampant.

Its second goal is to rehabilitate survivors of child trafficking and seek justice for them.

Registration is going on at the Lapu-lapu City Department of Tourism Office and at the office of Cordova town councilor Angel Gairanod.

Registration fee is pegged at P300 for the 12k and 6k and P250 for the 3k. Winners will receive medals and cash prizes.
