A major hotel in Cebu, the Radisson Blu Hotel, has invested P5 million to upgrade its food and beverage and rooms segments.
In an interview yesterday, Radisson Blu Hotel general manager Nishan Silva said that while their Feria restaurant has been doing well in the past with an average of 300 diners for lunch and dinner, they believe that they need to keep up to date with the trends in the food and beverage segment especially with many new restaurants opening in Cebu.
He said that their F&B business has grown from only 35 percent share of the revenues last year to a healthy 40 percent now.
He said their F&B business is fueled by three markets including MICE, local walk-in guests and their in house guests.
Because of that, Silva said, they will launch the first tea bar in Cebu called Dilma Tea Bar by mid-December this year.
The Dilma Tea Bar will be at the Lobby Lounge area of the hotel which Silva said will be offering 31 single original teas coming from Sri Lanka and around the world.
