Elmer Bartolo of Davao City returned to Cebu’s running scene with a bang, dominating the 16-kilometer race of the Heroes Run-A Run for Social Transformation at the Parkmall in Mandaue City yesterday.
Bartolo, who was absent from Cebu’s running scene for a while, clocked 57 minutes and four seconds to top the 16k men’s race.
Michelle Ngo finished in 1:32.22 to win the 16k title in the women’s side.
Prince Joey Lee and Cherry Andrin, meanwhile, topped the 8k division.
Lee finished with a time of 28:15 while Andrin completed her run with a time of 38:58.
Meanwhille, University of San Carlos’ (USC) ace runners Ivan Miguel Santos and Mary Joy Loberanis dominated the 3k race.
Santos finished in 08:43 while Loberanis clocked 11:08.
The race was handled by veteran race director Joel Baring of the Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE).
