Last 6 November, the Café de Genève celebrated its first year anniversary on a quiet residential street in Mabolo, where it is located. For those who have yet to discover this tiny European-style café, you can head over to try the Swiss cheese specialties of fondue (prepared with white wine, two kinds of cheeses and cherry liqueur) and Raclette (slices of special cheese to melt in a personal table top grill, to cover a boiled potato). The café serves a host of different appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main dishes. They also have the Swiss roesti which is a grated potato pancake with various toppings, and desserts which include the Millecrepes cake, made of layered crepes filled with vanilla bean cream lightened with whipped cream.

The Café is currently serving a special Thanksgiving menu with the traditional turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes and of course pumpkin pie from 26 to 29 November for 695 PHP per person.
The owners, Windy and Sébastien, will be happy to meet you at the Cebu International School Christmas bazaar at the Marco Polo hotel this coming week-end, 29 and 30 December, from 10am to 7pm. You will be able to sample some of the desserts they offer as well as order whole cakes for the holiday season such as the lavender cake for 260 PHP and the banana chocolate for only 220 PHP. The café is also available for private parties, both sit-down and cocktail, as well as orders for cakes and quiches. They can also provide at-home fondue service.
