CCO beats Upper Lomar in LEYC

CAIMITO Community Organization (CCO) logged its first win after beating Upper Lomar, 79-74, in the ongoing Lorega Echavez Youth Council (LEYC) Christmas-Sinulog Basketball Tournament yesterday at the Lower Lawis basketball court.

Alvin Luchavez scored 34 points for the winning team while teammate John Olmilla chipped in 25 markers.

Ivan Pocdol and Tyrone Linda scored 25 and 22, respectively but it was not enough to overcome the rampaging CCO. Upper Lomar tasted its first loss in in the tournament.

In another game, Mother of Perpetual Help defeated Birhen Sa Regla, 53-30, in a low-scoring match up.

Damaso Tejas scored 13 for the winning squad while teammate Jomel Sollano added nine.

The tournament features teams from different sitios of barangay Lorega San Miguel. Players are aged 15 years and below.
