There’s no doubt that Filipino hospitality is world-class.
It takes more than just panoramic views and gorgeous interior design to make one feel at ease.
Filipino hospitality is all about balancing the right amount of respect and warmth that goes a long way into being a home away from home.
As the biggest operator of 100-percent Filipino homegrown hotel brands, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts welcome guests to its newest accommodation, Belmont Hotel Mactan, on its soft opening on December 16, 2022.
Belmont Hotel Mactan is giving an early Christmas gift by giving Cebuanos and tourists from all over the world a sneak peek of its grand launch in March 2023.

Live-Work-Play in Mactan Newtown
“At the Belmont, we aim for guests to experience an engaging, efficient, and enriching stay while our soon-to-be patrons accomplish their goals,” shares General Manager, Johnson Del Valle. Belmont is a 20-storey business hotel with a total of 550 rooms and suites, 4 function rooms, 1 meeting room, 2 swimming pools, a sauna, and fully-equipped fitness center with modern touch screen treadmills, free weights and other cardio and muscle strengthening machines. Belmont Hotel and Savoy Hotel are both conveniently situated in the Mactan Newtown, a Megaworld township that combines a well balanced live-work-play-learn lifestyle just a few minutes away from the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
Belmont Hotel Mactan is adorned with Cebuano symbolisms. The lobby, for example, has artworks of the ocean and Lapulapu to give a very modern yet Cebuano vibe.
Belmont Hotel Mactan has three room categories: the Junior Suite room at 50 sq.m; the Deluxe Premier room at 36 sq.m, 7 of which dedicated for guests with special needs; and lastly the Superior Deluxe Queen or Twin at 26 sq.m.
Each suite has its own identity with a different local artwork on each headboard but still coherent with the interior design of the rest of the hotel as it features elements of Cebu’s weaving industry, delicacies, tourist spots and the famous Sinulog Festival.
When asked what the distinguishing factor between Savoy and Belmont is, Nico Velasquez, the Group Director for Public Relations, says that while Belmont services the business travelers, Savoy is for the adventure seekers.
All in all, Savoy and Belmont has a total of 1,100 rooms, which were strategically placed across a convention center for 1,500 people that is expected to start construction in 2023.
Belmont Hotel Mactan— A Testament to Cebu’s Resiliency
December 16, 2021 was the fateful day Typhoon Odette hit Cebu and its neighboring islands, and Belmont wants to give a new meaning to December 16 as a reminder that resilience is Cebu’s strongest suit, that no natural disaster or pandemic will stop Cebu from being the force it is today. Belmont is the 2nd hotel Megaworld has opened since the global pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Kingsford Hotel Manila located at the Entertainment City of Paranaque being the first last March 2021.
Despite the economic developments in recent years, Megaworld stands true to its brand of supporting local whether that means employing homegrown talent in leadership positions or procuring local artwork to decorate the hotel.
Megaworld sees to it that they uplift Filipino lives with every township and hotel that they build by providing jobs and opportunities even amidst uncertain times.
Starting December 16, 2022, Belmont will open its doors to guests for an introductory rate of Php 3,998 in their superior deluxe rooms with breakfast for two. Book your stays now through www.belmontmactan.com.ph or you may also call 520-4100 for inquiries or email info@belmontmactan.com.ph.
