2 men killed in Carcar

Two men were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in barangay Ocaña, Carcar City, southern Cebu Wednesday night.

Police identified the fatalities as Joseph Abella, 44, and Ronnie Tagimacruz, 35.

Police said the two victims were talking in front of the house of Abella in sitio Bonbon when two men arrived and opened fire.

One of the gunmen was armed with a shotgun while the other one had a pistol, police said.

PO1 Randy Chavez of the Carcar Police Station said a wounded Tagimacruz was still able to run but was chased by one of the gunmen and finished him off by shooting him in the back.

The two victims were brought to the Carcar District Hospital but they did not make it alive.

Police said five spent shells of .45 caliber pistol and two live bullets of a shotgun were recovered in the crime scene.

Drug-sniffing paraphernalia were also recovered in the crime scene.
