There will be no let-up in heavy rains in the Visayas as another low pressure area inches closer to eastern Philippines, the state weather bureau said yesterday.
Based on a weather bulletin released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) yesterday morning, the low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 480 kilometers east of Surigao City at 4 a.m.
Pagasa said the LPA would trigger cloudy skies with moderate to occasional heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms in eastern Visayas.
It said Central Visayas and the provinces of Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Dinagat, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin would have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms while the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos Regions will be cloudy with light rain due to the northeast monsoon.
