Aiming to promote environment-friendly and hassle-free transportation in Cebu, CD-R King’s line of transformation has finally opened its own shop last November 8. SM City Cebu now houses The California Eco-bike shop, the first electric bike shop in Visayas, at the 2nd floor of its old wing where a wide range of environment-friendly bikes are displayed making it very convenient for green-hearted bikers to choose the bike that suits their lifestyle.
CD-R King takes pride on the high level of convenience, safety and comfort that their products offer. Electric bikes are priced at a range of Php 9, 900 to Php 60, 000 and have low maintenance cost. Speaking of convenience, owners have to worry no longer on securing Land Transportation Office (LTO) registration and a driver’s license before they can scoot away since electric bikes are classified as bicycles rather than motorcycles
Electric bikes or e-bikes use rechargeable batteries which can be plugged in anytime. Basic models of e-bikes can travel up to 25 to 32 kilometers per hour while more high-powered models can go as much as 45 kilometers per hour. Most eco-bikes retain the use of pedal by the rider to extend battery life.
