Storm hit southern Cebu feels earthquake

An earthquake was felt at around 5:30 p.m. Monday in storm-hit southern towns of Cebu.

According to Robinson Jorgio of Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake was tectonic in origin.

Magnitude 6.5 was recorded at the richter scale. Center of the earthquake was located 200 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City.

The quake was felt in Boljoon town and neighboring towns from Argao to Oslob.

No major damage was reported yet.
