Woman with P200K worth of drugs nabbed in Toledo

A20-year-old woman was caught with more than P200,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs last Saturday night in a buy-bust operation in barangay Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu.

Ezra Nicole Hernandez, in her early 20s, was arrested after a policeman posing as a buyer bought P200 worth of shabu from her.

“The transaction happened in her doorstep that’s where the police decoy bought it (the illegal drugs),” said Police Insp. Leo Logronio of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB).

“Ezra just took her supply from a container where the bulk of illegal drugs was seized. There are money remittances that we still have to check to trace the source of her supply,” Logronio said.

He said Hernandez was a suspected level three pusher or one who can dispose 50 grams of illegal drugs in a week.

Four large packs and five small sachets, which contained white substance believed to be shabu, and a digital weighing scale were confiscated from the suspect.

Logronio  said the confiscated drugs weighed 22.2 grams, which have an estimated street value of P261,000.

Hernandez was brought to the PIB office in Sudlon, Lahug in Cebu City for further investigation and moved to the Consolacion Police Station, which has a bigger detention cell. Hernandez is detained pending the filing of selling and possessiion of illegal drug charges.
