A Mexican-American businessman was arrested after he allegedly punched a security guard of a KTV bar in barangay Cogon-Ramos, Cebu City last Monday evening.

Manuel Antonio Espinosa, a resident of City Lights View Subdivision in barangay Lahug, Cebu City, was accused of assaulting Junie Cortes, security guard of Sister’s KTV Bar on Gen. Maxilom Avenue.

Espinosa, 25, claimed he owns a call center company, police said.

Cortes told police he tried to pacify Espinosa when he went berserk inside the bar.

Instead of calming down, Espinosa allegedly punched Cortes in the head, said police.

Cortes and his American friend left on a car.

Around 30 minutes later, Espinosa and his friend returned to the bar not knowing that police were still there.

When apprehended by police, Espinosa said he assaulted the security guard for stealing his cellphone, an accusation that Cortes denied./CORRESPONDENT MELISSA Q. CABAHUG
