Good news for all commuters in Central Visayas.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board announced a fare rollback to P7 or 50 centavos less than the former fare rate charged by passenger jeepneys early today.
The provisional fare rate will take effect tomorrow, January 13. LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez said the public can now enjoy the P7 minimum fare while students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities can avail of the 20 percent discount.
He said the new rate is in effect until they can decide on the final fare rate after a series of hearings.
