Look up at the night sky this weekend and enjoy Sinulog fireworks.
Six groups from all over the country will once again compete on Saturday for the Pyrofest competition in front of SM City Cebu Northwing.
On Sunday, four fireworks shows take place in different locations of the city.
In the Pyrofest contest, one entry is from Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. The rest are from Luzon and Mindanao.
The competition, which starts at 8 p.m., puts 25 per cent weight on each criterion of quality, design, timing and audience impact.
Pyroworks will also have a special demo, said Brian Lim, Pyroworks International chief executive officer which organizes the annual contest with the mall, now on its seventh year.
The participating groups are Phoenix Fireworks or JTA Commercial from Cagayan de Oro, Lebrilla Fireworks from Laguna, ENB Fireworks from Bocaue, Bulacan, JP Fireworks from Lapu-Lapu City, Flash Fireworks from Valenzuela and Pegasus Fireworks from Pulila, Bulacan.
On Sunday, four different fireworks shows will happen in Cebu to mark this year’s Sinulog Festival.
The grand finale at the Cebu City Sports Complex will end with fireworks at 7 p.m.
SM City Cebu will follow at 8 p.m. Another display at 9 p.m. takes off at Ayala Center Cebu.
The last fireworks show will be at the South Road Properties at 12 midnight.
