If you could speak to Pope Francis about his PH trip and bring up concerns, what would you tell him?

Pope Francis in MalacanangI-ampo gyud ang Pilipinas.
(Pray for the Philippines and Cebu. Always include us in your prayers, especially Cebu.)
– Hilario Davide III, Cebu governor

I  would  ask  him to release an encyclical on disaster risk management.  The Church must not be left behind by other progressive organizations that include this in their programs. The  Church should include it in theirs.
– Baltazar Tribunalo, head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office

Papa Francis, pray for us.  That we will become a country not of individuals but a country of people  serious about building our nation.  Pray  that God will always be in our hearts and that we will always do things according to his will so that we will not be an embarrassment when we face the Almighty, especially that Cebu   is  the cradle of Christianity in the Philippines.  Please pray for my family.  I will also pray for you to  continue to be a good  shepherd for all of us.  Viva Pit Señor!
– Michael Rama, Cebu City mayor

I would simply say, ‘Thank you, Pope Francis’ for all that he is to us.
– Margot Osmeña, Cebu City Councilor

He should come back and visit Cebu because  the image of the Sto. Niño lies here, Cebuanos are extremely religious and Cebuanos just love the pope.
– Fred Escalona, PhilExport Cebu executive director

Papa Francis,  I hope you can visit north Cebu to be an inspiration for all of us Yolanda survivors.  Coming here would tell us that no matter what happens, joyful  or sad, God never abandons his people. We will always be his children.

– Jonathan Rosette, 36, Medellin town

I would thank him for bringing renewed enlightenment and humility to the church.  There are four million reasons why he should visit Cebu but ultimately, I accept his decision.  I am sure many other places in the Philippines have asked him to visit as well but  he can’t visit every single place.
– Gordon Alan Joseph, Cebu Business Club president

I would share with  him how religious Cebuanos are that even in the darkest part of our  lives we were able to smile and stand up again, raising our  own Sto.Niño as the source of strength of the people.
– Joyce Villegas, housewife from Badian, Cebu

Í would whisper to Pope Francis a confession of my sins, thank him for his visit, and request him to teach us more about the  “intangible” Christ by joining the International Eucharistic Congress  in Cebu  City in January 2016.
–  Margarita, a church worker

My special concern would be to ask for   a powerful prayer for all  people affected by  the 2013 earthquake and typhoon Yolanda.  To encourage everyone  to pray and to bless and  heal those who are sick and to protect our country. I would  also ask for  safety, good health  and  peace for  our family.
– Creslito Nieves, Sales & Marketing Executive of Hotel Asia

I would  bring up my concerns about  global terrorism, especially the actions of ISIS and al-Qaeda. Also the freedom of speech that is always threatened by these terrorists and  teenagers being recruited by  ISIS. I’d like to ask the Pope what we could  do to pacify these matters. What is the  church doing to stop  this  madness?
– Nikkah Lubanga, Tuburan, Cebu

– Crisaliza Gonzales, banana cue vendor

Out of curiosity, I would like to ask him if, as a child, he ever  dreamed of being a pope.  And is he blissful about what he has become?
– Patrick Apurado, pastry chef

Papa Francis, we Cebuanos are indeed a strong people. Despite typhoon Yolanda and the earthquake, we move on and live life full of hope because we believe that everything that happened has a purpose. We just want you to bless the Cebuanos and help keep us safe and strong, to give us good health and guide us  to move forward.
– Mary Joy Tabal, 25 , multi-titled runner, National Milo Marathon

I would  ask his blessings for my papa and everyone in my family.
– Jocelyn Letim, BPO employee

– Kyle,13 years old

He should visit northern Cebu, especially Bantayan island. Makatabang pag-inspire sa katawhan to go on living.

– Emie Gabito of  Madridejos, Bantayan island.  His house was destroyed during typhoon Yolanda

It seems God is not the center of our lives anymore.
– Pearly Sta. Teresita, 23, whose house in Kawit, Medellin  was damaged by Yolanda

Three reasons he should visit Cebu: 1.) To strengthen our faith 2.) To bring spiritual enrichment and unity to church leaders and members, and 3.) To reach out to those who are lost
– Prudencio Gesta, Cebu Bankers Club director

It’s so difficult to find work.  I would ask him to help the Philippines provide  more job opportunities)
