Italianni’s and Tonkatsu now open

BISTRO Group of Restaurant Concepts brings Italianni’s and Tonkatsu by Terazawa to Cebu.

American-Italian cuisine, coupled with its shared-style dining concept, ‘Amore de Merrier,’ made Italianni’s an instant hit among Filipinos.

At Italianni’s, they believe in making their guests feel like they’re in an Italian family-owned restaurant. Every meal starts with complimentary home-baked Tuscan and Foccacia bread served with olive oil and aged vinegar.

There are now 17 Italianni’s branches in the Philippines and can be found in Manila, Laguna, Angeles Pampanga, Davao, Cagayan and now Cebu.

Already established in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, Tonkatsu is the brainchild of Chef Terazawa from Nagoya Japan when he challenged himself to make the best breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet or Tonkatsu in town 20 years ago.

The secret Tonkatsu’s tender and flavorful pork cutlet lies on the natural way of ageing meat – wrapping it in white cloth for 3 days before deep-frying to perfection.

Best-sellers include Kurobuta Rosu Katsu, Hire Katsu, Iroiro Katsu and Deep Fried Oysters. Tonkatsu by Terazawa is located in Greenbelt 2 in Makati and Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, Manila. The branch in Cebu is Tonkatsu’s first branch outside of Manila.

Italianni’s and Tonkatsu are now open and are located at Level 1, The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.

Bistro Group has also introduced TGIFriday’s in Cebu, the first American casual dining chain in the Philippines. Aside from TGIFriday’s, Bistro bought brands such as Village Tavern, Bulgogi Brothers, Fish and Co., Watami, Modern Shanghai and other homegrown concepts such as Flapjacks and Krazy Garlik to the Philippines.
