RISING Cebuano junior netter John Godfrey “Noy” Seno stayed on course for another double championship horde as he booked two victories yesterday in the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala regional age group tennis tournament at the Praxevilla Tennis Club in Dumaguete City.
First, the University of San Carlos-Basic Education student yielded only one game in crushing Reyniel Marcellana, 6-0,6-1 to advance into today’s semifinals of the boys 16-under division.
The event is a Philippine Lawn Tennis Association (Philta) Group 2 tournament.
Seeded fourth in the U-16 division, Seno will next play No. 2 seed Karl Christian Baran in today’s semifinals.
Seno also advanced to the semifinals of the 18-under division where he is the top seed. There, he will face No. 3 seed Eldyzar Alvarico in their Final 4 match in the premier division.
