German dead, French, Indian injured in Talisay shooting

A German national was killed while two other foreigners were injured when they were shot by two gunmen inside a McDonald restaurant in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City around 4:20 a.m. Friday.

The Henry Haffner, 31, died of gunshot wounds at Chiong Hua Hospital.  The two other foreigners— Julian Millard, 31, French National with address at Pooc, Talisay City and Cheten Saparaiya, 32, Indian national also from Pooc, Talisay City are now confined in a government hospital of Cebu City.

Police investigators say that before the shooting, the French and Indian nationals had an altercation with unidentified persons outside of the fastfood joint. Haffner who was not with the two other foreigners just happened to be dining inside the restaurant but was hit when the alternation turned violent.

SP01 Mikie Espina of the Talisay City Police station said they are conducting hot pursuit operation against the two suspects, believed to be Filipinos. The injured foreigners are now in stable condition said Noy Mongaya, spokesman of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
