AN ALREADY-STACKED roster welcome yet another star to their fold as former La Salle skipper Aby Marano joined the reigning champions Petron Blaze Spikers in time for the Philippine Superliga’s opening set for next month.
In an interesting twist, Marano will be teaming-up with former rivals Fille Cainglet-Cayetano and Gretchen Ho, players she beat for the UAAP crown while she was leading the Lady Spikers over the Ateneo Lady Eagles a few years back.
Marano’s addition means that Petron will be boasting a roster that already features the likes of top-pick Dindin Santiago and Carmina Aganon.
GUMABAO, GOHING JOIN PHILLIPS
In related news, Marano’s former Generika teammates, Michelle Gumabao and Melissa Gohing, will be suiting-up for Phillips Gold, formerly the Mane ‘n Tail.
The Lady Slammers are hoping to turn things around after finishing the import-laden Grand Prix in last place.
The All-Filipino conference is set to kick off on March 21.
