THE Commission on Audit (COA) called the attention of Cebu City Hall on the P550 million worth of development projects from last year’s Annual Investment Plan (AIP) that remain un-implemented.
State auditor Ma. Daisy Bercede said the city’s Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) cited the lack of a specific plan and program of works to execute the projects on time as a reason.
The city government submitted a list showing that 32 projects worth P135.2 million of the AIP for 2014 or roughly 25 percent of the total amount were already bidded out in October last year.
About 14 projects worth P38.3 million under the 2014 AIP already have Approved Budget for Contract (ABC) while 42 projects worth P182.4 million are in the preparation stage.
