PRINCE Joey Lee and Ruffa Sorongon ruled their respective categories in the TESDA Run: Dagan Ta, Tabang Ta at the Cebu Business Park yesterday.
It was a tough win for Lee who had uncork a spirited sprint to the finish to outlast veteran Elmer Bartolo of Davao City in the 6-kilometer men’s open race. Lee won in 20 minutes and 21.80 seconds a mere three seconds faster than Bartolo (20:23.83) while John Darryl Manos finished third in 20:36.39.
Sorongon meanwhile, won in 24:51.20 followed by Cherry Andrin in 27:22.24 and Aubrey Marlit Losanta who finished third in 28:42.41.
Lovely Fe Andrin and Robert Daang lorded the 3K race.
Andrin finished in 15:36.90 to top the women’s division with Sarah Lee Cuizon (18:00.95) and Grace Garces (20:37.35) as runners-up.
Daang ruled the men’s race in 12:24.77, Michael Largo finished second in 12:25.99 while Azlan Pagay came in third by clocking 12:27.36
The race is a fund raising event for the benefit of the scholars of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).
