CEBU CITY, Philippines – A 41-year-old man suspected of being a street-level drug pusher will be spending some time in jail after he was arrested by police with suspected illegal drugs on him in San Fernando town, Cebu.
Authorities nabbed the man and seized suspected shabu from him during a buy-bust operation in Barangay South Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu on early Thursday morning, September 21, 2023.
Police Major Mark Anthony Villanueva, chief of San Fernando Police Station, in his report, identified the arrested person as 41-year-old Eric Suico Oyanguren alias “Ers.”
Oyanguren is a resident of Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu.

Villanueva also described the alleged suspect as a drug pusher who’s a Street Level Individual (SLI) on his report.
He added that Oyanguren is among the individuals listed in their drug watchlist.
The anti-illegal drugs operation that lead to the arrest of the alleged suspect and confiscation of suspected shabu took place at around 4:30 a.m.
The operatives who lead the operation to be successful were personnel of the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the San Fernando Police Station.
Operatives seized from the alleged suspect around 0.24 grams of suspected shabu.
As of this writing, Oyanguren was detained at the detention cell of the San Fernando Police Station pending for the filing of appropriate charges against him.
San Fernando is a second-class municipality located approximately 40 kilometers south of Cebu City.
