Motorists in Cebu City warned against ignoring citation tickets

The Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom) is cracking down on motorists who disregard citation tickets.

Metropolitan Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Judge Francisco Seville issued seven bench warrants to traffic violators.

“We want to give a message to private vehicle owners that they’re not exempted from the bench warrants. It’s not just the public utility jeepneys that will be issued,” Citom operations chief Joy Tumulak said.

Citom formed two teams to deliver seven warrants in the city but managed to serve only one to Regin Delmayor of barangay Punta Princesa whose policeman brother received it and paid the penalties to the Citom office.
