Five persons were killed after their car hit a prime mover at the South Road Properties (SRP) at 3:44 a.m. this Sunday.
The victims, Rustico Bas, Oscar Oneo, Rosette Capala, Alma Basalo and Gwendolyn Basalo were headed to Talisay City when they hit a truck in the opposite lane towards Cebu City.
Joy Tumulak, Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom) operations chief, said the vehicle went past the center island and into the opposite lane when it hit the truck.
The driver is now detained at the Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom) office pending the filing of charges of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide and damage to property.
The victims were brought to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC)./ With reports from Correspondent Apple Taas
