CEBU CITY, Philippines — Two separate buy-bust operations in Cebu City on Friday and Saturday, September 29 and 30, yielded P2,278,000 worth of shabu, and led to the arrest of a 31-year-old woman, her 39-year-old boyfriend and two men.
First to fall was the woman from Barangay Calamba, Cebu City and her boyfriend in a buy-bust operation along Escario Street in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City on Friday, September 29.

310 grams shabu confiscated
Police said in its report that the woman was caught with 310 grams of suspected shabu during the anti-illegal drugs operation at past 10 a.m. on Friday.
Police said that the confiscated illegal drugs had a market value of P2108,000.
According to the Cebu City police, the woman was allegedly a high value individual while her boyfriend, who is from Barangay Sawang Calero, Cebu City, was allegedly a street-level pusher.

Selling, possession of illegal drugs charges
Both arrested persons are detained at the detention cell of the CCPO City Intelligence Unit (CIU) office waiting for the filing of appropriate charges against them.
According to the police report, the woman will likely be charged with possession and selling of illegal drugs.
While her boyfriend will face charges of possession of illegal drugs.
The operation was a part of the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) campaign of the police against illegal drugs.

Mambaling drug bust
Next to fall were a construction worker and a driver, who were caught with with P170,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City at past 2 a.m. on September 30.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) identified those arrested as Alfie P. Abella, 34, a driver; and Frangie R. Bernaldez, 26, a construction worker.
Abella is a resident of Barangay Sapangdaku while Bernaldez lives in Barangay Pasil.
P170,000 shabu seized
Authorities seized during the operation one pack of suspected shabu weighing around 25 grams with an estimated market value of P170,000.
They also confiscated one mobile phone and other non-drug evidence, said PDEA-7 in a statement.
The agency said that the pieces of drug evidence confiscated were submitted to the laboratory for chemical analysis.

Selling, conspiracy to sell drugs charges
Both arrested persons were under the custody of the authorities and will likely be charged for the selling of illegal drugs and conspiracy to sell drugs.
According to the PDEA-7, the buy-bust operation was done with the cooperation of the Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) and the Mambaling Police Station.
