What better way to pay it forward than to donate? Through the MoneyGram Foundation, 11 public schools and 5 colleges in the Cebu metro are enjoying new books from the company’s Books of Asia program.
Being one of the leading global money transfer companies in the Philippines, MoneyGram continues its undying support for the educational improvement of the country’s youth. In their mission to distribute 30,000 hard bound reference books nationwide, 6,000 of which were specially set aside for selected schools in Cebu.
Along with their famous brand ambassador, Robin Padilla and MoneyGram’s regional manager, Alex Lim, student representatives and teachers from the respective schools gathered at the SM City Cebu on February 24 as the books were officially turned over.
Among the selected schools for the donation drive were Cebu Eastern College, Childlink Learning Center, Paraclete Learning Institute, Cubacub Elementary School, Hippodromo Elementary School, Cebu Cherish School, Pakna-an Elementary School, Cebu City National Science High School, Labangon Elementary School, Cadulawan Elementary School, Unversity of San Jose Recoletos, Velez College, University of Southern Philippines Foundation Inc., University of Cebu – Main and Saint Paul College Foundation Inc.
“Mabuti pa talaga yung magbigay ng mga libro. I-tulak natin ang mga bata sa edukasyon; na muling bumalik sa pagbabasa,” says Robin Padilla as he concludes the donation drive.
