CEBU CITY, Philippines—The Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons remained undefeated in two games after scorching the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors 75-40, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school basketball on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Cebu Coliseum. 

 The Dragons were relentless on the floor leading early on the get-go. Incredibly, they led by as many as 35 points in the endgame.

Caelan of CEC Dragons scores 23

Forward Caelan Craig Mac dominated the painted area with his 23-point outing to topscore for CEC. Andrey Roa contributed 10 points, while Lybron James Lamo and  Kenneth Fuller each chipped in nine markers. 

Neil Ibarita and Laurence Oclarit scored 8 and 7 points, apiece in the Baby Warriors’ dismal outing. 

The Dragons enjoyed a commanding 23-point lead heading into halftime, 51-28, with Mac leading the offense.

How CEC Dragons routed USC Baby Warriors

In the second half, the Dragons held the Baby Warriors to six points, while ballooning their lead to 29 points, 57-28.

They then advanced to the fourth period ahead with 23 points, 59-36.

Instead of slowing down, the Dragons banked on their fastbreak points that further stretched their lead to 34 after establishing a 13-2 scoring blitz to come up with a, 72-38, running score en route to grabbing win No. 2.
