The much awaited inaugural footrace being put up by tech company, RC Goldline, will unfold tomorrow at 4:30 a.m. at the Sumilon road in Cebu Business Park with 1,100 runners enlisted.
Around 300 long distance runners are entered in the centerpiece 21-kilometer half marathon division while 250 racers are competing in the 12k distance. The rest of the registered runners will see action in the 6k and 3k distances.
The is race billed as the RC Goldline Half Marathon.
Technical race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running said he is still expecting more runners to register since the registration period capped off late yesterday afternoon yet.
Juarez added that everything is set for the event including all technical requirements.
All the finishers in all categories will receive medals while the top three runners in men’s and women’s 21K, 12K and 6K will get cash awards. Participants will also have the chance to win cellphones, tablets, bike adventure tour, gift certificates for Crown Regency’s extreme adventure and pocket wifis in the raffle draw.
The champions in the men’s and women’s 21K will get P5,000 each, while P4,500 and P4,000 will go to the runners ups. The top three winners in the 12K division will pocket P3,000; P2,500 and P2,000 respectively. Cash prizes will also receive cash.
