Three Davao City teens whose videos became viral on social media will be in Cebu on Monday to help promote tourism sites in Lapu-Lapu City.

Sotero Matthew “Matt” Calumba Lubid, 17,   John “Lenarr” Lagahit Sanchez, 17 and Alfredo Ronin James “Arjay” Fedillaga, 16, who are known as the “Ato ni Vines” will be making a video of Olango Island’s Asinan Eco-Park that city officials are trying to promote as a summer destination.

The three teens are known in the Visayas and Mindanao areas for their humorous videos and memes posted on Twitter and Facebook.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza said she asked the three to visit Olango Island and feature its adventure sites and activities in their next social media posts.

“We want  people, especially in  social media, to know that we have nice places in Lapu-Lapu City  to explore especially this summer,” Radaza said.

Radaza said the city is  developing a “Culinary Tour on Bike” program where visitors also get to taste seafood, native breads and buko juice while they go  around the island.

The city is  also promoting adventure activities that include camping,  mangrove trekking, fish feeding, snorkeling, and  bird watching  in the island.

Olango island may be reached after a 20 minutes motor banca ride from the Hilton wharf in barangay Punta Engaño. The boat ride costs   P15.
