A minor was arrested after his victim managed to track him down using the GPS locator in her cell phone last Monday.
Cara Revolosa, a resident of barangay Upper Tawason in Mandaue City, woke up at 5 a.m. and was shocked to find out that her mobile devices and other items worth P180,000 were missing.
SPO1 Silveriano Aparicio of the Canduman police precinct said the suspect broke into Revolosa’s house by detaching a window grill.
Taken were one iPhone 6 cell phone worth P47,000, one iPhone 5 cell phone worth P45,000, one Samsung camera worth P30,000, one Samsung tablet worth P28,000, one gold watch worth P11,000 and a headset worth P5,000.
Revolosa told police that the robber failed to take the one cell phone she constantly used and she turned on her phone’s GPS locator to track down the rest of her mobile devices.
Her GPS locator locked down on the suspect’s location in sitio Basbas in barangay Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.
Revolosa called the Canduman police and they found the suspect talking with some of his friends.
The minor was turned over to the custody of the City Social Welfare and Services while police returned all the items to Revolosa.
