At least 40 different rides are available in a summer carnival at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
Rogelio Ramos, spokesman of the Live House Productions that operates the Mandaue Grand Fiesta Carnival, said they plan to add a giant Ferris wheel and other “crazy” rides during their stay in the area until June 15.
The carnival, which opened on April 25 ,is one of the highlights of this year’s Mandaue City fiesta celebration.
It occupies a 5-hectare lot at the NRA, near the old Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in a lot which used to be occupied by the St. James Amusement Park.
Rides cost P10 to P80 each.
Ramos said the carnival is open 24 hours a day and also offers live band performances, free movie viewing and Zumba dances at night.
The Mandaue city government is providing security personnel, portalets and a medical station in the carnival grounds.
