Mendero Medical Center (MMC) is now operating in full swing with its complete range of healthcare facilities and a line of experienced medical experts.

The only tertiary hospital in the north, MMC began its operation on February 3 last year aiming to serve Mandaue City and the rest of the localities of the northern part of Cebu. “Mandaue City and all the other areas in the north have a combined population of two million individuals and we want to capture this population. Because Mendero Medical Center is now here to attend to their needs, patients no longer have to go all the way to Cebu City and drain their pockets for expensive medications because we are offering much affordable room rates and quality healthcare services,” MMC owner and president Dr. Samuel Mendero said during an interview. Dr. Mendero and his family also owns and operates the Pagadian City Medical Center in Zamboanga del Sur.

MMC takes pride of its brand new and state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities guaranteed to deliver absolute and precise diagnosis for patients such as Intensive Care Units (ICU), operating rooms, colonoscopy, endoscopy, ECG, 2D Echo, and medical clinics among others. Dr. Mendero added that more high-end facilities are to be installed in the future. Aside from the complete facilities it offers, MMC also has well-trained and established doctors in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Hematology, Allergology, Pediatrics, and Surgery on board. MMC is also accredited by all HMOs.

MMC also has 40 Philhealth rooms on its 4th floor primarily to accommodate patients who are financially incapacitated and are not registered members of any health insurances.

For its upcoming events, MMC is holding the Angeles Y Flores de Mayo Fun Run in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association which will take place on May 24. The proceeds of the event will go to the cancer patients of Perpetual Succour Hospital’s KYTHE Foundation. Registration sites are at the MMC hospital lobby, Parkmall, and at Runnr at the 2F of Ayala Center Cebu.
