WITH THE next round fast approaching, action remained at a hectic pace in the ongoing M. Lhuillier Summer League 2015 last Thursday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
In the under-19 division, the University of San Carlos (USC) Team B separated itself from the rest of the pack as it kept its record clean after beating sister squad, USC-Basic Education Department, 63-51.
The victory was the squad’s fourth in a row while the loss left USC-BED tied for second place with Ateneo de Cebu-1, who crushed Abellana National School, 69-16. AdC-2 also blasted the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) B, 74-60.
In the under-15 age class, USC and USP-F are still neck-and-neck in the standings after they claimed victories over their respective foes. USC blasted LCC, 100-48, while USP-F edged out USC South, 44-43, to remain tied at the top with similar 4-0 win-loss cards.
