THE CEBU International School (CIS) and Lylam FC, one of Cebu’s fast rising football clubs, have joined hands to hold a fund-raising football tournament for the victims of the deadly 7.9 earthquake that ravaged Nepal last April 25.
The tournament, dubbed “Kick For Kathmandu,” is slated on May 30 and 31 at the CIS football field in Pit-os, Cebu City.
The tournament will feature nine age groups: the under-nine, under-11, under-13, under-15 boys, under-18 boys, under-19 girls, inter-company men and men and women’s inter-BPO.
All proceeds of the tournament will go to the relief fund of Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Leylam FC, which recently competed in the world championships of the F5WC in Dubai, UAE already conducted several fund-raising football tournaments since last year and this time, they partnered with CIS to strengthen their cause.
Registration fee is P1,000 per team in the under-9, under-11 and under-13 and P1,500 for the under-15, under-18 and under 19 girls. The registration fee for the inter-company and inter-BPO divisions is pegged at P2,000 per team.
Registration can be done at CIS until May 22.
