A 57-year-old man American died while driving his multicab along the national highway of barangay Binongkalan, Catmon, northern Cebu yesterday afternoon.
John William Saunders III, who hails from San Antonio Texas in the US was rushed to the hospital by passersby but failed to make it.
Police said Saunders was on his way north and on swerving to the right hit the resort’s bamboo fence. Doctors said Saunders likely suffered a heart attack at the time though he sustained no injuries nor concussions.
Dr. Jake Basilla and Dr. Abdul Macapagal said medications for heart ailment were recovered on his bag. Police wanted to conduct an autopsy to determine the victim’s real cause of death.
