Kumon Philippines launches first major confab for educators

Kumon, the world’s largest after-school learning program, is set to launch “Mastering the Art of School Leadership: Conversations on Innovations and Developments in Education,” a conference cum leadership training to be attended by educators from over 400 private schools in Manila and Cebu.

The first leg of the two-part event will be held on May 15 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) at the Diamond Ballroom, Diamond Hotel in Manila, with Ramon Bautista as the master of ceremony. The second leg will be held on May 22 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) at the Sta. Maria III Ballroom, Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu, with Chuckie Dreyfus as the program emcee. The event will feature sessions on “Debunking Learning Fallacies” and “Social Marketing for School’s Success,” with Henry Tenedoro, an acknowledged educator and motivational speaker, as the lead facilitator.

Partnering with Schools Nationwide
Supported and endorsed by the Department of Education, this event aims to help schools prepare for developments affecting the Philippine Educational System, particularly the ASEAN integration. To achieve this objective, Kumon believes that there is a need to partner and work hand-in-hand with schools.
Through this activity, Kumon hopes to create avenues where educators can share their thoughts about changes affecting the Philippine school system; discuss new insights that will improve and raise the capability of school owners and teachers; and promote alternative teaching theories and methods that will facilitate the learning process inside and outside the classroom.

Franchise a Kumon Center
Ever since the conception of the Kumon Method in Japan in 1958, this world renowned method of learning continues to flourish in different parts of the world. It has helped a multitude of children to reach their potential and excel in academics beyond their grade levels. Kumon, also an award-winning franchise brand, attributes its phenomenal success to the excellent guidance of the hands-on Kumon franchisees who also serve as the Kumon instructors in their respective centers.
