COMPOSTELA Mayor Joel Quino said his town is very willing to host again the two sporting events part of the 2015 Ipanema Summer Sunscream—the Rider beach volleyball and the Dip and Dash aquathlon—next year.
In an interview with Cebu Daily News yesterday, Mayor Quino said he’s very pleased that Compostela was chosen to host the Ipanema event for the second year.
Quino also said another reason for their all-out support for the event is the big economic impact it has created not only in Compostela but also in neighboring towns like Liloan and Consolacion and Danao City.
Aside from the Rider beach volleyball and Dip N’ Dash aquathlon, other events of the Ipanema event include a beach party held tonight with live band performances from Kamikaze, Urbandub, Spongecola, Franco, among others.
