DUMAGUETE City’s Mereeis Ramirez ended her drought in local footraces as she topped yesterday’s 25-kilometer division of the 6th Run for BB-Angeles y Flores de Mayo Run at the Parkmall in Mandaue City.
This win was Ramirez’s first this year in the local scene and she achieved this by finishing in two hours, 14 minutes and 56 seconds.
Kenyan Isaac Simat lorded it over the men’s 25k race with a time of 1:30.50.
In the 25k medical division, Michael Claudio (2:03.27) and Jinggay Lugay (2:28.54) emerged winners.
Winners in the 15k race were Ruffa Sorongon of Sultan Kudarat (1:07.24) and Robert Daang (55:26). Jay Yosores and Janet Solis topped the 15k medical division with times of 1:14.16 and 1:50.31, respectively.
John Daryl Manos (34:04) and Keisha Mae Delechos (47:00) were the winners in the 10k race. Arnel Florentino (17:53) and Mary Joy Castor (25:32) were the champions in the 5k division.
