A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was injured after he jumped off a 200-foot deep cliff in barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City early morning yesterday.
Police are withholding the name of the boy for being a minor.
Police said the boy disembarked from a bus and went straight to a store where he asked if the place was sitio Tan-awan.
After talking to the store owner, the boy went to a cliff and jumped, said PO3 Vivian Tamayo of the Women’s Desk of the Carcar City Police Station.
Rescuers rushed to the area and found the boy hanging onto the root of a big tree.
It took two hours before the boy was rescued by barangay officials, police said.
The boy later told police that he was forced to jump because someone accused him of selling illegal drugs.
Police said the boy will be turned over to social workers until his parents come to claim him.
