Retiree faces additional charges

The Children’s Legal Bureau (CLB) is considering to file additional charges against the 69-year-old American pensioner who was arrested last week for allegedly molesting underage girls in Bogo City.

Lawyer Noemi Truya, CLB spokesperson, said Harold Glover will also be charged with child pornography while his Filipina pimp who is still in hiding will be charged with qualified trafficking.

“It will be best to release the information once the formal complaints will be prepared,” she told Cebu Daily News in a text message yesterday.

Four minors were rescued from Glover’s rented house in barangay Taytayan, Bogo City last Wednesday evening.

Police seized compact discs, condoms, male sexual enhancement pills, cameras and cellular phones with videos showing the foreigner having sex with still unidentified persons.

These may be used as evidence against him in the filing of additional charges, police said.

Glover is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9208 also known as the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012; Republic Act 8353, otherwise known as Anti-Rape Law; and Republic Act 7610 also known as Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
