CEBUANO cyclists will gear up anew just weeks after the conclusion of the 1st Kopiko Cycling Circuit as another race, this time a mountainbike competition, is in the offing at the end of this month at the Boy Scouts Camp in Lahug.
Sugbo Bikers vice president Andot Sabal, who was among the prime movers of the successful staging of the Kopiko cycling, told Cebu Daily News yesterday that the mountainbike race will be held on June 28.
The name of the competition has yet to be announced. According to Sabal, he still needs to meet the project director regarding that matter.
He said, though, that there’s a great chance that Kopiko will once again sponsor the event.
The coming mountainbike race’s plan was hatched during the 1st Kopiko Mountainbike Challenge after the organizers saw that the place as well as the route is very suited for a mountainbike competition.
