CALAYAN Medical Group has opened an outlet at the Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue City to serve Cebuanos looking for beauty, wellness and medical care.
“We offer quality medical care here. The mentality is people go to Manila because the best is in Manila. We are bringing the best here,” said Dr. Bernardita Calayan-Brion, medical director of Calayan Medical Group. The range of services offered by the Calayan Medical Group stems from four major departments: plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology, aesthetic and wellness, and regenerative medicine.
A fifth department, nutrition and weight management, is in the works, said Lalen Calayan, head of operations.
All services that are found in Manila can be found in CMG. The rates here are also lower than in Manila, Calayan added.
The CMG doctors are currently being “imported” from Manila and fly back and forth from Manila to Cebu, but there is no need to worry as there will always be a doctor on deck, said Calayan-Briones.
Selina Sevilla, aesthetician, added that each room has a certain theme to make their clients feel more special and at home.
“For example, we have an Egyptian-themed room. Products we use in this room make use of ancient Egyptian ingredients like clays,” she said.
Dr. Josephina Calayan, matriarch of the Calayan family, said they did not choose Cebu on a whim.
“We chose Cebu because the people here are warm, friendly and very welcoming,” she said.
